Taylor Mae Stinchcomb was our beloved daughter who died tragically on June 21, 2011. She was very distraught over the grave cancer diagnosis of her doberman Romulus. She had adopted him from a shelter 2 years prior on her 13th birthday. They both were killed as a result of an automobile accident.
We have established this foundation to honor her memory and raise financial support as she was doing herself for the things about which she was very passionate: her youth group, families in need and teen mission trips at her church, animal rescue, animal adoption and wellness programs, and Warren Wave travel softball, a program of Warren Township Girls Softball.
Taylor had been in the WTGS program since she was 6 years old, and played on the travel team from the time she was 10. She had raised her own support to attend youth mission trip training. She rallied votes for dear youth group leaders in her church who have special needs children and are needing to build a safe, wheelchair accessible home for their young children. Taylor loved and cared for these sweet kids as a volunteer in her church’s “Kid’s World”.
Taylor took excellent care of her best friend, Romulus. They were truly inseparable. So it is our desire to continue Taylor’s efforts through promoting the things that she loved, bringing awareness to issues that were near and dear to her enormous heart. As Taylor loved to bbq with her dad, we have established Taylor Mae BBQ services in the Gurnee and surrounding area for such summertime events as Warren Wave’s Wipeout Tournament. We will hold an annual Taylor and Romulus “Fun Day in the Park” as our main fundraiser, whose proceeds will support the things we have mentioned above.
